Billing & your plan

Hook runs on a simple subscription. You pick a plan when you create your community and manage it any time from Dashboard → Billing.

The plans

  • Rent — $49/mo (or $490/yr). Hosted on your hook.coach subdomain, with the full AI Companion and Coach Agent.
  • White-Label — $149/mo (or $1,490/yr). Your own custom domain, with Hook branding removed.
  • Own — $999 once + $19/mo (or $190/yr). A one-time, self-hosted license you can modify and keep forever; the optional monthly covers updates and the hosted AI, and you can cancel it anytime.

Pay annually and get 2 months free — the monthly/annual toggle on the billing page (and on our pricing page) defaults to annual. Every tier includes the full AI: Companion, Coach Agent, and memory.

Your monthly AI allowance

Each plan includes a generous monthly AI-actions allowance (one Companion reply or Coach-Agent action = one): Rent 2,000 · White-Label 10,000 · Own 40,000. Your usage and a progress bar show on Dashboard → Billing; we'll flag you as you approach the limit. It's a fair-use cap — if you reach it, the assistant pauses until the allowance resets at the start of the next month, or you can upgrade for more headroom. There are no surprise overage charges.

Explore mode → your free trial

A brand-new community starts in Explore mode. You can build everything — set up your Companion, write posts, create courses, invite-list your people — with no card and no payment screens anywhere. A couple of "go-live" actions (sending a campaign, emailing or inviting members) wait until you start your trial, so you can explore risk-free first.

When you're ready, hit Start your free trial on the dashboard banner — still no card required:

  • Start within the first hour of creating your community and you get 2 weeks free.
  • After that, starting the trial gives you 1 week free.

A live countdown shows how long the longer offer lasts. Once the trial is running your community is fully live; before it ends, go to Dashboard → Billing and choose a plan to keep things running. Picking a plan doesn't restart your trial — your card isn't charged until the trial you already started runs out, so you keep every remaining free day.

Managing billing

On Dashboard → Billing you can:

  • Choose / change a plan — sends you to secure Stripe Checkout.
  • Manage billing — opens the Stripe customer portal to update your card, switch plans, download invoices, or cancel.

If a payment fails

If a payment fails we'll show a reminder and keep your community running through a short grace period while the card is retried. If it stays unpaid, the community is paused until you update billing — your data is safe and returns the moment you re-subscribe.
