Member payments (paid tiers)

Charge members for paid tiers and keep the revenue. Members pay through your own Stripe account, so the money lands with you directly — Hook takes a 0% platform fee.

This is separate from your Hook plan (what you pay Hook). This page is about what your members pay you.

1. Connect your Stripe

Open Dashboard → Payments. Click Connect Stripe and follow Stripe's quick onboarding (it creates an account for you if you don't have one). When you come back, the page shows "Connected and accepting payments."

2. Add a paid tier

Once connected, Add a tier:

  • Name — what members see (e.g. "Inner Circle").
  • Unlocks — which membership level it grants (Tier 1 → Tier 3). Courses you've gated to that tier unlock automatically for subscribers.
  • Price and billing (monthly or yearly).
  • An optional description.

You can Hide a tier any time to stop offering it (existing subscribers keep their access until their subscription ends).

3. What members see

Members find your tiers at Upgrade (and on any course that's locked to a paid tier). They check out securely through Stripe; the moment they subscribe, their membership level updates and the gated content opens. If they cancel, they drop back to free at the end of the period.

Heads-up: you need to finish Stripe onboarding (so charges are enabled) before tiers can be purchased. Until then the Add a tier form stays locked.
